Release and Review: Tapping the Billionaire by Max Monroe

Readers. READERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! This book! You better one-click it because it is freaking amazing:

Read this to get your panty's melting!

Blurb:
Blind dates? Online dating profiles? Been there, done that.

Georgia Cummings has zero luck with dating, and the era of the internet is not her friend.
No matter how fast she runs, how many corners she turns, she can’t find her way out of this weird, alternate universe where men think dick pics are a replacement for small talk and getting to know a girl. One more crotch selfie and she might write men off for good…

But why can’t she stop fantasizing about him?

Kline Brooks is the quintessential billionaire bad boy—dark, styled, short hair, muscles for days, and a panty-dropping smile.
Except—he isn’t.

As his employee, he won’t touch her with a ten foot pole.
But she won’t touch him either.

Too bad their hormones missed the memo.

Kim's Review

Holy shit! This book right here, 5 stars all the way.  I have fallen in love with Tapping the Billionaire, Georgia and Kline.......and maybe Walter, but he seems like the asshole that lives in my house haha.

I couldn't put this book down. It was hot and steamy. The sex scenes are freaking AMAZING and will make you look for someone to ravage after you are done reading them (I'm sure there will be no complaints, get permission first of course).  I love Georgia.  I want to make her real and make her become one of my best friends because she is one of those girls that can be silly and sexy, the true beauty of a woman!  Kline is that CEO material but is so much more when he clocks out from his day job and clocks in to his night job (You will drool. Get a tissue.).

The chemistry between these two in the sheets and out of the sheets is what real romances are made of, which I think make it so enjoyable. It's real life, real feelings, I was able to easily connect to the characters and felt like I was right there watching the whole story unfold.

The sense of humor in this book kept me laughing, the sex factor is through the roof and was a very refreshing change to what else is out their in the book community.  I highly enjoyed this book and haven't done that in a really long time with a read.  I am so thankful for the opportunity to read this sizzling page turner!  If you are looking for your next read. This is it,

Disclaimer (because it is too awesome not to share and you want to be naughty)
If you’re the type of woman who prefers crotch selfies to small talk, this book isn’t for you.
If you enjoy random men you’ve never met filling up your inbox with dirty words and porn—for reasons focused more towards diddling your donut than laughing at the absurdity—this book isn’t for you.
If you HATE laughing, this book isn’t for you.
If you want your male leads to grunt, thrust like jack rabbits, and have one-track minds that prefer a nice pair of tits to brains every hour of every day for the rest of forever, well, then, this book still isn’t for you.
But.
If you enjoy a good swoon, a hearty laugh, witty banter, and some hot as f*@% f*@%ing, then consider Georgia Cummings your GirlFriday and Kline Brooks your next irresistible book boyfriend.

BOOK RELEASE: Broken Fate by Jennifer Derrick

Clean Teen Publishing is proud to present Broken Fate, the much anticipated debut release from Jennifer Derrick.

But first, a guest post from the author herself, Jennifer Derrick!!!

Success at a Twitter Pitch Party

I’m often asked how I found a publisher for Broken Fate. The short answer is, “Thank you, Twitter,” because I found Clean Teen Publishing (or they found me, depending on your perspective) through a pitch party on Twitter.

I had been querying Broken Fate for a couple of months. Despite some interest and requests for full manuscripts, I was getting nowhere fast. One day I was on Twitter and I saw something called, “#Pit2Pub” trending. Okay, I thought, what’s that? I looked into it and discovered the world of pitch parties.

Sponsored by users, agents, or publishers, pitch parties invite anyone to craft a 140-character pitch for their book, post it under the proper hashtag, and let the interest roll in. Most parties operate under the rule that if an agent or publisher favorites your Tweet, you are invited to submit to them.

I thought it sounded like fun and I didn’t have anything to lose, so I crafted this little beauty and hit Tweet:

“#Pit2Pub #YA #SFF Atropos is the Fate who cuts lifelines. Alex is a boy dying of cancer. She can't love a boy she has to kill, can she?”

Much to my shock, people began liking it. Clean Teen Publishing was among them and they asked for the full manuscript. The rest, as they say, is history and Broken Fate finally had a publisher.

What makes this story remarkable is that I’d only been on Twitter for about two months before #Pit2Pub. It wasn’t that I was afraid of social media; it was just that I had no use for it. As a freelancer, I had more work than I could handle thanks to a long career and word of mouth advertising. I didn’t have the need or the time to really get into social media.

But… I’d recently signed on to do board game reviews for iSlaytheDragon.com and they really wanted me to get on Twitter and help promote my reviews. So I reluctantly dragged myself to the sign up button and made an account. That I found #Pit2Pub was more of an accident than a plan.

That I got any favorites at all was also something of a miracle. I didn’t craft my tweet in advance. I had no idea what I was doing and part of me wondered if this whole thing was even legitimate. I went through maybe three drafts of a tweet and hit send, thinking nothing would happen. It was supposed to be an experiment, not a serious effort. I figured I’d try this one pitch party, see what happened, and then make a serious plan to really work the next party.

In other words, I did everything wrong and still got a publishing offer. I think that either speaks to fate or to the capricious nature of a universe that just likes to mess with your head sometimes.

I (obviously) recommend pitch parties. What I don’t recommend is approaching it as I did, which was completely on a lark. Here’s my advice if you want to try pitch parties for your own work.

1. Craft the pitch in advance. That way you have plenty of time to get it right. Plus, you’ll have it saved so that you can quickly jump in to any party that you see. (Remember: Your tweet will need to be less than 140 characters to allow for the hashtags.)

2. Follow the rules. Most parties have a website that lists the official rules. Visit it and make sure that you tweet according to the rules, use the correct hashtags, and that you understand what to do if you are contacted. Check participating agent/publisher feeds to see if they’ve posted how they want to receive material.

3. Trust, but verify. If you receive any submission requests, check up on the publisher or agent and make sure you’re a fit. When I partied, I got several requests from legitimate publishers/agents, but there were also some vanity presses, book promoters, or similar services. Know who and what you’re dealing with before you submit.

4. Tweet only complete manuscripts. Agents and editors are looking for projects that are finished and available right now. If your book isn’t complete and fully revised, wait for the next party. Don’t blow your chance by either submitting a draft or telling the editor to give you six more weeks to finish it.

Pitch parties do work and there really are people on the other side reading and responding to your tweets. If nothing else, pitch parties can be a great way to get some feedback on your project and do a little networking. They’re fun, too. I can lose a whole day watching other people’s tweets scroll by. The creativity on display is amazing. It certainly can’t hurt anything to try and you may even end up published.

Zeus gave her one simple job: Kill every human. Atropos-daughter of Zeus and the third goddess of Fate from Greek mythology -spends her eternal life snipping human lifelines when their mortal lives are over. As if being a killer doesn't make life miserable enough, she and her Fate-wielding sisters must live amongst the humans on Earth thanks to a long-running feud between their mother and Zeus. Living on Earth means they must mingle with the mortals, attend the local high school, and attempt to fit in-or at least not stand out too much. Killing and mingling don't mix, which is why Atropos' number-one rule is to avoid all relationships with the humans. Caring for the people she has to kill is a fast track to insanity. However, when Alex Morgan walks into her first-period English class, she knows she's in for trouble. He's the worst kind of human for her to like-one with a rapidly approaching expiration date. And he makes Atropos want to break all the rules.

About the Author

I became a writer at the age of six when my parents bought me a child’s typewriter for Christmas and agreed to pay me a penny per page for any stories I churned out.

When I got older, I realized that I needed to make (much) more money from my writing so I first turned to the corporate world (where I learned that I am spectacularly unsuited to cubicle life) and ultimately to freelancing where I now write everything from technical manuals to articles on personal finance and European-style board games.

My writing career came full circle when Clean Teen Publishing accepted Broken Fate, my first novel. By my calculations, my parents owe me about $3.00 for that book.

I live in North Carolina and, when not writing, can often be found reading anything I can get my hands on, playing board games, watching sports, camping, running marathons, and playing with my dog.

BOOK BLITZ: Killer Pursuit by Jeff Gunhus

Killer Pursuit
Allison McNeil # 2
By- Jeff Gunhus
Genre- Thriller/Suspense/Mystery

When a secret webcam is found in the Georgetown bedroom of a murdered high-society call girl, everyone in Washington, DC wants the recording...especially the killer.
After a high-society call girl is brutally murdered in her Georgetown home, investigators find two cameras hidden in the walls of her bedroom. One has its memory erased, presumably by the murderer. The second is a webcam with an encrypted connection...and no-one knows who's on the other end. Whoever has the recordings has embarrassing leverage against some of the most powerful men in DC, not to mention a video of the murder showing the identity of the killer.

FBI Special Agent Allison McNeil is asked by beleaguered FBI Director Clarence Mason to run an off-the-record investigation of the murder because of the murder's similarity to a case she worked a year earlier. Allison knows the most direct path to apprehending the killer is to find the videos, but rumors that the victim's client list may include some of Washington's most powerful men makes her doubt the director's motives. As she starts her investigation, she quickly discovers that she's not the only one pursuing the recording...but that the most aggressive person racing against her might be the murderer himself.

Raging by Holly Kelly

Clean Teen Publishing is excited to announce the release of Raging, the long-awaited conclusion to Holly Kelly's Rising Series.

For two thousand years, a betrayer has occupied the throne on Olympus. Hungry for power, he has wreaked havoc among the gods, as well as the humans on earth. But a spark of hope ignites in the form of four young women—ones who are destined to free the true king and save the human world. Two have been found, and the others must be located before it’s too late.
Drakōn would love nothing more than to turn his back on the whole thing. It’s not that he doesn’t care about humans, but he has his own world to worry about. But then, he is given an impossible task—one he finds himself unable to refuse. He is charged with protecting a woman, but not just any woman—Tana, goddess of wind and fire.
Tana is more than he bargains for. Sentenced to an eternity of imprisonment for burning hundreds to death in a fiery inferno, she has powerful enemies. Drakōn finds himself facing off with those adversaries even as he questions why he doesn’t simply destroy her himself. But Tana is one of four destined to save the world. That is, if she doesn’t destroy it first. And Drakōn? He may just lose his most guarded possession. His heart.

Excerpt:

Tana’s fingers began to burn—not hot, but cold. Feeling came gradually, like the stabbing pain of a thousand needles. Wetness seeped into her back, bringing with it agony. She clenched and unclenched her hands, attempting to generate some warmth. “Father…” she said, finally managing to speak. A puff of white, misty air billowed from her mouth.
Tana,” Hades responded. “You’re awake.”
P-please…” she begged through chattering teeth. “D-don’t to this.”
My mind is made up, my child.”
No, F-father. You’re supposed to protect m-me; you’re supposed to help me.”
Pain shone in his eyes when he turned away. Knowing he regretted his actions didn’t help. It didn’t lessen the bitter feeling of betrayal.
Skadi, do it now.”
No!” Tana shrieked as the ground below her rumbled and cracked. “Father! You do this and I’ll n-never forgive you!” Pain as she had never felt before washed over her as ice water flooded the hole she was sinking into. She gasped, her muscles clenching—screaming in pain as fury burned in her. “I swear I will escape, and when I do, I will come for you, Father. You will feel pain a thousand times worse than what you inflict on me! I promise you’ll regret what you do today.”

Icy water washed over her, covering her face as she spoke her last words—and down she sank. The burn of cold engulfed her, more painful than anything she could have imagined. She flailed her arms, trying desperately to reach the surface, but some unseen force pushed her down. In less than a minute, her lungs screamed for air. And then as fast as a cracking whip, she could no longer move. Her eyes looked toward the surface—frozen in place. Bubbles around her stilled, like a cruel constellation spread out above her head. And this was how she remained for nearly nine hundred years—locked in her icy prison, with nothing to think on, save regret and revenge.

Descending (The Rising Series Book 2)

When Xanthus cashes in a long-standing favor, Kyros is faced with doing two things he thought he'd never do—protect a mermaid and live on land. Dagonians loathe mermaids and Sara, Xanthus's wife, is no exception. Also, a Dagonian standing on human legs? As if being around the vile creatures responsible for polluting his home and killing his sister wasn't horrible enough, Kyros has to deal with Sara's troublesome human friend, Gretchen.

Kyros can't help but resent Gretchen. Not only is she human and unforgettably gorgeous, but she leaves him swimming in confusion and feeling things he shouldn't be feeling—least of all for a land-walker! When Gretchen is nearly killed by an assassin's bullet, Kyros's mission changes. He's forced to become her protector. Forced is a gross exaggeration, though. The more time Kyros spends with Gretchen, the more he finds himself falling for this spunky, witty human. When it becomes apparent that something dark and evil will stop at nothing to see Gretchen dead, Kyros expends his resources to find out who that being is. Unfortunately, the answer causes more problems than it solves. When a rogue mermaid wants you dead, you’re safe from no one… not even the ones you love.
