Timeless By Amy Richie

Blurb

After the asteroid, Jewell, cripples the earth, vampires come to the aid of the survivors. Some only want to help, others merely want to protect their way of life, and some simply have to be stopped. Eva was created for one purpose … to kill notorious vampire Dominick Letrell. Neleh has devised a plan that cannot fail; travel back in time to when Dominick was his weakest and attack him there. Along with the help of David, the most intelligent vampire alive, the plan is set in motion. Unfortunately, everything goes wrong and Eva is trapped in the past with no memory of why or how she got there. What happens when all the rules change? Timeless is a story of betrayals, secrets, and a love that will change everything.

JAIME'S REVIEW
I really enjoyed this one too. I swear I have a lucky streak with all these good books!

This was a different book. A nice different book.

Eva is on a mission with 2 others. Unfortunately, their mission is different from her own.  Hers is to kill Dominick Letrell. Theirs? To make sure she doesn't.

Taken by surprise she runs.  Runs to a house and meets a man.  A man who seems to be hiding secrets.  Nicholas takes her in and helps her try to remember important things.  But she can't talk about them.

All she remembers is her mission.

Really good and kept me on the edge of my couch, well actually it just kept me up at night to read it and finish it.  Soooo didn't like when it ended because I wanted to know more!!! I NEED MORE!! I don't know if this is a series, probably not, but I would reaaalllly like it to be!

Find out what happens and see what secrets lie hidden within this jewel of a story!

About The Author

I wear many hats. Author, mother, cook, housekeeper, laundry do-er, sister, daughter. I enjoy writing, it allows me to escape the realities of life: bills, day job, baths, supper, dieting, cleaning the litter box.
My writing is usually romantic in nature with a bit of humor and a bit of surprise. My books range from Vampires who fall in and out of love so many times I had to make it a series to christian stories of finding out what is important in life.
I have always loved writing. During my high school days I wrote one book. It was a vampire love story. It took me so long to write it that I began to think of the characters as real people. I still do that today.
On a personal note: I have three wonderful children - Gavin, Arabelle, and Elijah, two not so wonderful cats, and two rats. We all live in a small town in northern Ohio. There is more corn here than vampires or werewolves, at least that I know of.

Scream Street: Fang Of The Vampire By Tommy Donvaband

Please welcome a little Bawakan, Dominic! Here's a kid's view review!!

Blurb

Meet Luke Watson: reluctant werewolf and Scream Street's latest arrival.

With his new friends Resus Negative(wannabe vampire) and Cleo Farr
(tomboy mummy),Luke thinks Scream Street might just be somewhere
he can call home. However, there's one small problem:his parents are
terrified by their new neighbors. Can Luke find the doorway back to the world before they're scared to death?

Dominic's Review

4 Stars!

I liked this book entirely because it has to do with monsters. Resus Negative is my favorite character because his cape has everything you could possibly think of!
In my context,Sir Otto Sneer is the meanest person in the book because he has a nephew which Sir Otto treats like a servant. The book was set up in good setting, time, and the characters where good
too.

The Promise By Kim Carmichael Release Day Party Evite!

Demon Dolan Ciar exists on three simple words: desire, denial, and destruction. Every four years, he is allowed one night of earthly passion to punish a deserving female. By the time he is finished, his victims are left as willing receptacles for demons yet to come.

Since she was four, a demon has been the only constant in Leora Desmond's life. He taught her how to seize control, to never give up, and to take whatever she wanted. At twenty-four, her self-centered existence is focused on one thing. She wants Dolan, and she won't be dissuaded.
A mistake brought Dolan to Leora. A promise bound him to her. Returning once again to ask for his freedom, he is faced with Leora demanding to be his next conquest. The ultimate retribution would be to take from her the ultimate symbol of her selfishness.

Hard to Resist By Shanora Williams

Synopsis: Natalie Carmichael thought that Bryson Daniels would be her world. She planned a bright future with him, cherished four years with him, and couldn't have been any happier, but during graduation night, all of that changes.
Natalie walks in on Bryson cheating on her. One month after catching him in the act, she finally decides to make an escape by leaving for Florida.
She wants to start over, have fun, and be free while also finding a way to mend her broken heart but when she meets Nolan Young, her single-life escapade doesn't last for very long. She tries to stay clear of Nolan and his desires but it's impossible for her. Nolan will do everything that he can to have her as his own, but will Natalie accept Nolan along with the problems of his past? Will she let someone else into her heart that may be even worse than Bryson?
For Natalie, Nolan will be something completely new to her. And for them both, their desires will be completely hard to resist.

Review:

What an awesome read!  Natalie goes to a party after her high school graduation and finds the one thing that anyone would dread: The love of your life cheating on you with another girl.  After Bryson breaks her heart, Natalie decides that a change of scenery is in order and moves to hot and spicy Miami to live with her friend, Harper.
On her way to Harper’s house, she literally almost runs over this incredibly hot guy and luckily, that isn’t the only encounter that they have! Natalie doesn’t want to love again, but this guy, is very determined to try and have a relationship with her and make it work. Nolan tries desperately to be someone that Natalie needs and someone that she can love. This certainly makes it “hard to resist” him.
I enjoyed Natalie’s character. You could connect with her easily, because who hasn’t had their heart broken into a million pieces?   I think that her character evolves in so many ways during this book that it really grabs the reader’s attention because it’s just not about love, its trust, trust in yourself, trusting your heart, and taking a leap to trust someone else again after being cheated on, especially when Nolan doesn’t have the best past either.  She goes from being a teenager in love to a woman exploring her desires and finding that maybe there is someone meant for you to love no matter how hard it seems to be to recover from losing your “first love”
If you are looking for a new book to read, that’s full of great writing and steamy scenes, add this one to your list!!!

Bronwyn Fitzgibbons was young and reckless. It was easy for Ronan to steal her human life and make her a vampire. She ran, but she never forgot him--or how he made her feel. Rider saved Bronwyn from the new life she loathed and the new self she detested. His love restored her sanity. Now Ronan is back to claim her. She struggles like hell against him, but she cannot deny the overwhelming power of her maker. Will Bronwyn surrender to the one who could possess her utterly? Or can she find the strength to choose the one who loves her as she is?

Read an excerpt from the book:

“Please, tell me you aren’t going to go looking for him,” Rider said quietly.“I don’t think I’ll have to, he knows where I am now.” Rider looked at her for a moment before storming out of the room. Bronwyn let out a huff of air and sat on her bed.Seraph materialized in front of her. “Fighting again?”“Not exactly fighting. This is exactly the reason I don’t like living with him; he gets all moody and possessive. I’m not his to own, I never was,” Bronwyn said angrily.Seraph studied her face, “Rider isn’t the only one who wants to own you, Wyn. So snap out of your pissy attitude and play nice.” It was rare for Seraph to scold her, so Bronwyn kept her mouth shut. Seraph nodded and stalked out of the room. Finally alone with her thoughts, she went into the bathroom and turned the shower on as hot as it would go. She stepped in as soon as steam came pouring out of the top. Bronwyn stood under the spray, wanting to wash away the last twenty years of her life.

Excerpt

I opened my laptop and went to Facebook. I went through my usual like, like, and updated my status. Up, up, and away in my beautiful balloon through the ‘Land of Enchantment’ today! I turned the computer off and gathered my things, placing them on the table by the door.
I sat back down to finish my coffee and heard Logan at the door. I went to open it and he said, “Good morning, Isabella. Are you ready?”
“Morning. Yes, all set,” I replied.
I locked up and we pulled out of the drive and past the security gates and we were on our way.
Logan said, “We are leaving from our business parking lot.”
“Cool, how did you arrange that?” I asked.
“Well, I have connections with the pilot,” he replied.
“How’s that?” I asked.
“He’s my uncle. His name is Joe Hayes and he is my father’s brother. You’ll like him; he’s pretty cool,” Logan said.
“That’s neat. You have your own balloon pilot,” I said.
“It does have it perks for sure, but on the downside, I have had to play balloon chaser on several occasions,” Logan said.
We arrived at Logan’s office and sure enough, there was the balloon being filled with air.
We got out and Logan inquired, “Do you want to go watch it filling?”
“Yes,” I answered.
We walked over to the balloon.
I watched in childlike amazement as our balloon was made ready for us. Logan’s uncle came up to me and said, “I don’t believe we’ve met, because I certainly would have remembered it.”
Logan said, “Uncle Joe, this is Isabella Reed.”
“Glad to meet you,” Uncle Joe said.
“You, too,” I replied.
Joe said, “We will be off in just a few minutes.”
“Great,” I replied.
The balloon was on the ground and the basket was on its’ side on the ground. A fan was blowing into the balloons’ envelope and the material opened up and was flooded with color all of a sudden. It started to almost straighten up and it was beautiful with turquoise, purple and green. Each color looked like a cloud around the balloon with turquoise on top then purple and last was green. It had a nice basket with leather trim.
Joe got in and fired up the burner that seemed to breathe life into it. It had that same heavy breathing sound I heard on the first morning in the land of enchantment. They told me to get in the balloon as well. Logan straightened and untied the ropes while he kept us there and then jumped into the balloon. There were two more guys who were taking our pictures and then they jumped in their trucks.
Logan looked at me and said, “They are balloon chasers for us. They follow us around in case we need their assistance and help us with the landing later on.”
I nodded my head as we started our adventure ascending higher and higher until we were drifting on a peaceful breeze. It was very close quarters in the balloon basket and Logan was touching my arms and legs. I caught a breeze and I smelled Hugo Boss cologne. The day just got better. I couldn’t believe it. My first balloon ride ever and I was up in the clouds with the most handsome guy I had ever seen who was touching my whole body on one side, making gentle pulsations flow through me like electricity. What has this guy done to me? I looked up at him and he had a smile that would melt even the coldest heart. He looked down at me with a look that seemed to
say I was the most beautiful girl in the whole world. How did he make me feel that way?
Logan pointed to a river as we approached. “That is the Rio Grande Valley.”
We went across it in the cool, crisp morning air. We were at the top of the trees. Logan reached out, picked a couple leaves and handed them to me. I couldn’t believe we could touch the treetops. We were floating through the sky weightless like the clouds and it was so wonderful.
Logan’s uncle told me about some of the history of the area. He was also a jokester and was very funny. We dropped down to lightly splash the basket in the river and then went back up again. I sputtered with squeals of joy and Logan laughed. We continued to float across the sky and headed toward the clouds. Logan turned me around with his strong arm around my shoulder to show me the Sandia Mountains. I could really get used to that arm around me. Oh, there I go again, I scolded myself. The mountains were breathtakingly beautiful. It was so serene and tranquil. The rising sun with other balloons around it painted the sky with a silhouette that was major eye candy.
We continued on our magical journey with a view like no other. We crossed over peoples’ homes with them looking up awestruck, waving to us. This is a real friendly place to start with, but in
that moment, I felt like a movie star. Logan reached in his pocket and pulled out these cards and threw them down to the kids. They looked like credit cards.
Logan explained, “These are balloon cards that tell all about this balloon and about the pilot with a picture of the balloon on the front. They are collected by young and old, sort-of like baseball cards. Have one, Isabella.”
Wow, this ride has been full of excitement and surprises. This was an unforgettable memory.
After more time with Joe telling me about this mysterious and wondrous place while drifting through time, we started going down toward land. Our balloon chasers were waiting for us on the ground and after a bump, we landed. It was a piece of cake. We climbed out and my feet touched the ground, but I was already dreaming about my next balloon ride. I knew I would do this again without a doubt.
“What did you think, Isabella?” Logan asked.
“I think I am totally in love,” I replied.
Everyone turned and looked at me and I said, “With this ballooning activity.”
My face instantly flushed at how my original words sounded.
Joe said, “I’m glad you clarified that because I am happily married.” He flashed me a wink.
“It was incredible beyond words. I am really mesmerized by this place,” I said.
Joe said, “You would be surprised at how many people come here to vacation and never leave.”
“I can certainly see why,” I enthused.

COVER REVEAL FOR THE MOST ANTICIPATED NEXT IN THE GREY WOLVES SERIES FATE AND FURY BY QUINN LOOOOOFTISSSSS

Okay ladies! Four minutes til go time. Thank you all so very much for your help! Please put this up at 8 if you can!

Fate and Fury Book 6 of the Grey Wolves Series by Quinn Loftis
Expected Release Date: March 15, 2013
Synopsis
The last few days have been the darkest of Sally’s life. After experiencing the joy of finding her mate, she now suffers the pain of losing everything she holds dear. Both the Romanian and Serbian packs have been captured, ripping Sally’s soul mate away from her almost as soon as she had found him. Her best friend and the emotional glue that usually holds Sally together, Jacque Pierce, lies writhing in a restless coma, having been put down by Desdemona’s dark magic. Jennifer Adams, the unshakable one, has revealed to her friends and her mate that she is pregnant, but the Fates have marked her unborn baby for death. Though she rails against the darkness, deep inside Jen knows that Decebel’s baby must die as payment for her own life, and the knowledge is tearing her soul to pieces. Cypher, King of the Warlocks, has claimed Jacque’s mother as his mate and agreed to help Desdemona open a door that would release a horde of demons from beyond the Veil. Though her world is crashing down around her, Sally holds out hope. The Great Luna is not sitting idly by. She has commanded the Fey council to call upon the packs—all of them. And though Cypher looks for a way to open the Veil for Desdemona, he struggles to protect Lilly and the wolves at the same time. Peri, the ever-courageous High Fae, and a contingent of the remaining females of the Romanian and Serbian packs, push on through the rough Carpathian Mountains. Though they are bound to the human realm, they continue to search for a way to cross over to the land of the Fey. Meanwhile, in reluctant obedience to the Great Luna, the Fey council sends representatives to the far corners of the globe, meeting with the pack Alphas. The Fey must convince the Alphas of every pack to lay aside their petty territorial squabbles and battles of dominance. If they refuse, both the humans and the supernatural races will fall at Mona’s feet. Sally holds to a shred of hope. Though Vasile, Decebel, and their pack mates endure the torture of the In-Between, living their worst nightmares over and over, Sally holds. Though she knows that it is only a matter of time before their wolves take over, she holds. Sally knows that if the males die, then so too will their mates who have performed the Blood Rites, including her best friends Jen and Jacque. Yet she holds. If the males lose themselves to their wolves and turn feral, so too do their mates. Still she holds. Though Vasile, the strongest Alpha in their history to unite the wolves, is lost beyond the Veil, Sally holds. Though Decebel, the only other wolf besides Vaile strong enough to unite the packs, suffers beyond the Veil, Sally will hold. No one is left to unite their race, and defeat Desdemona. Yet Sally still holds. She holds out hope that the Great Luna will not abandon them, cannot abandon them. Throughout the centuries, the Great Luna has always provided a gypsy healer to the packs, especially in times of great need. Now Sally is that healer. Sally fears what role she has to play in the defeat of Desdemona, but she will play it. Though heaven and hell unite against her, she WILL play it. For too long the supernatural races have lived in separation, warring amongst themselves, allowing trivial power plays and selfish disputes to keep them from uniting. That separation has made them weak. Now, being summoned as a collective force to the same land, will they come? Will they come in numbers greater than have been seen in centuries? Will they destroy each other and save Mona the trouble, or will they finally unite and fight as one?

The novel is called Vengeance and the double sword wielding Princess Amillia guarantees plenty of it. Don't miss any of my amazing series!! The Mating By Nicky Charles

Overview

Elise had no idea when she came home that day that she'd end up mated to a complete stranger. A new Alpha and the need for an alliance between packs have made her a pawn EXCERPT: She lay beside him, staring blankly at the ceiling. The deed was done. They were mated. It didn't matter that she had no love for him nor he for her. Political alliances were more important than feelings...

Review

I really enjoyed this book.   I  felt awful for poor Elise having no choice but to marry a man to unite packs.  I could never imagine being told who I had to marry especially when another wolf was interested in me.  Then be shipped off to live with a new pack and have to get to know people and your new mate.  Then, to make matters worse, it seems like someone is trying to sabotage the pack, some of the wolves think it could be Rhyne, Kane’s half-brother who left after Kane became Alpha. Could Ryne really do such a thing?  This book is the first in a series, and trust me, after this one you will definitely want to read the rest of them!

The awesome part about this book, is its free!

But the harder he tries to understand, the deeper he gets. When comprehension finally dawns though, time has almost run out. Lobo does his best to prepare Jeff for what he must face in order to survive but it may be too little and too late.

It’s at this point that both Jeff and Carla find themselves swept headlong into an alternative reality from which they may never return. If they don’t quickly and fully adapt to this situation, all hope is lost. From Lobo they know how it might be possible to change what is happening but the question is, can they? Repeatedly, Lobo has told both teens, “You create your own reality whether in this world or in another.” If acted upon properly, that advice just might save their lives and end suffering on an even wider scale.

A new resident of America's oldest and most haunted city, St. Augustine, Florida, fifteen-year-old Jeff Golden suddenly finds himself up to his eyeballs in frightening paranormal experiences. At the end of his rope in trying to figure out what is happening to him, Jeff decides to rely on his friend Carla Rodriguez, and Lobo, an old Native American shaman, for help.

Despite this guidance, things get even worse. Jeff's spine tingling encounters increase in number and intensity at an alarming rate, scaring him even more. Eventually, he makes the startling discovery that unresolved circumstances involving a bloody event directly out of Florida's distant past threatens his sanity and possibly his life.

Finally, overwhelmed by forces he cannot understand or control, Jeff's world shifts from frightening to downright terrifying. In desperation, and on Lobo's advice, he leaps headlong into the unknown in order to save himself. What Jeff discovers though is that he has entered a level of reality he is completely unprepared to handle while unwittingly dragging Carla with him.

Like all the books in THE ST. AUGUSTINE TRILOGY, the premise for Sliding Beneath the Surface is simply this: You create your own reality.

Excerpts From The Book!

Excerpt 1

I shut Lobo’s door behind me without putting on my jacket and took a big breath of cold air. Standing there for a second, I felt like I had been running hard. God, my heart pounded so hard I thought it might split wide open, and that stupid headache throbbed even more. I hated leaving Carla like I did, but the time to get out of there had come.

Being away from Lobo was such a relief. With my eyes closed, I took another deep breath and let it out slowly. All that had gone on that afternoon rushed through my mind like a flooding river. Instantly, those panicky urges to turn around and run away while walking towards Lobo’s place with Carla popped up in my head. I opened my eyes again only to see that everything had gotten a lot darker than it was seconds before. A massive fog bank had somehow moved in over Matanzas Bay and already covered most of Lobo’s dock. As I watched, the rest of the dock disappeared into all that gray stuff as if it had never been there. Rapidly, a smaller wave of fog rolled over the tip of the peninsula and headed right for me at a speed fog should never move. It all happened so fast, I had no time to think or act. Long fingers of mist reached for the porch, and before I knew it, a cold wetness surrounded me.

“What the hell?” I whispered to myself. Talk about freaky. Yeah,  it scared me—so much that I even turned around to go back into the house. Believe it or not, right then, facing old Lobo seemed better than dealing with that awful, weird fog. When I turned around though, I couldn’t find the house. All I could see was fog in every direction. Even so, I knew the front door had to be there directly in front of me, right? I mean I hadn’t moved more than a couple of feet away from it, so I stretched my arms out and slowly stepped forward.

After walking maybe five or six steps, I still hadn’t found the door or any part of the house. I know what you’re thinking. You’re sure I must have been hallucinating all of that or something. I don’t blame you. To be perfectly honest, I thought the same thing at first, but that cold, wet fog was very, very real.

“Carla!” I shouted, but my voice sounded muffled. “Lobo?” I yelled. At any second, I expected one of them to open the door and answer me. No such luck. I kept shouting anyway.

When I finally gave up yelling my lungs out, the absolute silence startled me. Like a thick blanket of insulation, the fog no longer allowed any sound in from the outside world—no birds chirping, no noises from boats out on the bay or traffic in the neighborhood. Nothing but total silence. I swear, it was so quiet I actually heard my heart beating. As I listened though, I noticed a darkness creeping into the fog. I’m telling you, it just got darker and darker as I stood there frozen in fear, with my head still aching. In less than a minute, I was in total blackness with only the feel of cold, wet fog all over me. Strangely enough, I also smelled something like pine needles. Pine trees. Pine needles. Something like that.

I didn’t know what to do. Lobo’s words about spirits and danger still swirled through my weary brain, reviving the memory of that deep blackness I had seen at the bottom of his carved ivory ball. For a moment, I wondered if I was dreaming somehow, but the feel of that cold fog all over my body told a different story. I turned around several times, hoping to see or hear something, anything. When that got me nowhere, the panic really started to build. Even in the cold, I could feel sweat trickling down my back and under my arms. I had never felt so alone.

Excerpt 2

“Wait. Wait a minute,” I said out loud, closing my eyes even though there was nothing to see. “Take it easy and think.” After sucking in a couple of deep breaths of cold air, I put on my jacket. Funny how that helped. Doing that one little thing for myself also calmed me down a little. Even my headache eased up a bit.

No matter what, I said to myself, you still have to be on Lobo’s porch. All you have to do is get down on your hands and knees and feel your way across the wood floor until you find the door. Why didn’t you think of that before, idiot?

Listening to my own advice, I squatted on my heels and stretched out put my right hand. Instead of wood, I touched wet sand, dirt and what felt like a thick matting of pine needles. I pulled my hand back like it had been burned. As I thought about it, I didn’t remember seeing any pine trees on Lobo’s property.

“No way,” I said out loud in my muffled voice. “I’m on the porch. I have to be.” But the feeling of pine needles did match what I had been smelling and that gave me a tiny bit of hope, in a way. At least a couple of things connected in all that darkness.

An owl hooted loudly somewhere in the fog, making me jump. Strange as it may sound, when I thought about the owl and the things I had touched, they all helped me feel better. I don’t know why exactly, except they seemed to connect me to the real world beyond that total blackness. The owl hooted again, but this time I didn’t jump. Instead, I wondered if maybe I had stepped off the porch into the fog and just got lost somehow. If that’s so, I thought, keep feeling around until you find the porch. Once more following my own logic, I got on my hands and knees. Wetness soaked through my jeans and grit stuck to my hands. Again, all I could feel was dirt, sand and pine needles until something brushed my face, scaring the crap out of me at first.

When I felt around some more and found the thing, it was nothing more than a palmetto frond, dripping wet from the fog. Following the frond all the way down to a palmetto bush, I found a shoe. The thing is, I hadn’t seen any trash like that at all anywhere around Lobo’s house except inside his truck.

Continuing to crawl around and feeling with my fingers, I found even more pine needles, then some pine cones, and what felt like rough slivers of wood. To my sensitive nose, the scent of pine there
was really strong.

Seconds later, I found a tree about a foot and a half thick and grabbed it with both hands. Why? It almost felt like a friend there in the dark, at least something big I could hold onto, you know? It didn’t matter how rough the outside was. As my fingers explored the thing, I felt places that had no bark—spots of bare wood with splintery holes gouged out of it. Those holes oozed pine sap, and I wondered what had caused them. Yeah, my fingers got really sticky, but I could have cared less.

That’s when it happened. Slowly the fog all around me started to glow. At first there was enough brightness so I could at least see my hands, the tree, and a shadow of the tree in the fog in front of me.
The source of that illumination had to be coming from behind.

I whipped around and there it was, Lobo’s front door not ten feet away. Light, wonderful light from inside Lobo’s house pushing its way through those glass ovals and making the fog glow. “Yesssss!” I shouted long and hard, and started walking towards the door. All that brightness from inside really made the wolf on his cliff, the moon and Orion stand out brilliantly as fog swirled in front of them.

When I got there, I looked through the mist and the clear glass portion of the door. The hallway and room with the fireplace and weapons were on the left, right where they should be. I didn’t see Carla or Lobo yet, but all I needed to do was open the door to safety. When I reached for the doorknob though, I couldn’t find it. I couldn’t even find the door itself—the wooden part. Reaching out with a shaking hand, I grasped one of the clear glass sections in my fingers, which should have been impossible.
