Title- Sworn to Transfer
Series- Courtlight Series # 2
By- Terah Edun
Genre- Young Adult, Fantasy, Coming of Age
Eighteen-year-old companion trainee Ciardis Weathervane has won the friendship of the royal
heir and saved his claim to the throne. Yet her interference in the inheritance rights leaves more
harm done than good. The Ameles Forest lies unprotected and its inhabitants are dying.
As humans begin to die in gruesome deaths, the Emperor dispatches the royal heir to the
forests with the solution to the kith concerns.
With enemies closing ranks in Sandrin, Ciardis can little afford to leave the city’s nest of vipers
to take on a new task. But she’s given no choice when her loyalty to the crown and courts are
called into question.
To keep the Companions’ Guild happy and the favor of the Imperial Court, Ciardis will be tested
in frightening new ways, especially when she’s faced with an obstacle that could risk the lives of
her friends and the family she never thought she had.
This second novel continues the story of Ciardis Weathervane from Sworn To Raise.
Sworn to Transfer:
This book dived right in from where Sworn to Raise left off at, which I loved. I don't like trying to figure out what happened from one to the next.
I was excited that I could just dive into this one with no waiting in between. So much more darkness comes through with this one.
We get to see Ciardis come into her powers as a Weathervane as well as watch her and Prince Sebastian possibly flourish into something more than just friends. Well I hoped so anyway. I can see and feel it...they are just grrrrr, sooooooo aggravating sometimes!!! Damn kids.
I loved the flow. I enjoyed watching Ciardis Grow into herself as well as her powers and become more...confident with herself.
As well as another....should I tell you? Or make you read it?
Hmmmmm....yes I daresay I think you should read it and find out! SOOOO many things! I swear I wore my finger out by flinging pages.
We found out in #1 who Sebastian really was and he does come back into this one as well. These characters have grown on me and I have become slightly attached to them.
This is a series I don't really want to end. However, I am sure it will. Thankfully there's a book 3. Which I have read and will be reviewing tomorrow!!! Aren't y'all the lucky bunch to listen to me prattle on!
P.S. It is best if you aren't cooking while reading this....things might come out slightly more done than intended......
