Feature Fan of the Week

hello everyone! Thank you for joining me today!!
I have the WONDERFUL Miss Katrina here with me. She has a blog, the Hidden Reader :)
So Katrina, thank you for joining me today my dear!
Thank you so much! I am so shocked that you picked me!
Now for people that don't know that you have a blog can you tell us what it is about?
Basically a part is for people to see my obsessive books I am currently re reading because I love them so much. The second part is for authors who have asked me to read and review their book. It gets more aknowledgement for the author and helps me fill spaxes with cool things to share.
~What was your first review?
And how did you come across wanting to have a blog?
Kristin actually made me it as a gift for helping her out so much and she basically notices how much I was addicted to books and reviewing them.
How stressed do you get? I know I get slightly stressed when on a schedule SOMETIMES :)
ALL THE TIME. I get so stressed I have to walk away. You learn to save, save, save though. That button has made my life a lot easier.
I heard you got a tiara from someone special! What was it for?
I was a nominee to be on a homecoming ballot by a couple of my friends. Unfortunantly I lost but not for long. Bawaka, my addiction, nominated me homecoming queen and one of the ladies on the sight sent me my own tiara. (which I love. and it has its own stand)

Dale- 5 month old french papion puppy
Dunkin & Tweety- my two parakeets
Socks- my 8 year old tuxedo kitty
Buster- my 4 year old albinho bunny
Gimbo and company- me and my brothers goldfish (they are all identical except one...hence Gimbo)
Snappy- my brothers turtle...but hes not a snapping turtle!
I heard that you are a SENIOR!!! AAAAND got rockin SAT scores!
They were average scores but thanks. I might have lost a scholarship but there are others
What is your favorite color?
the rainbow!
If you could have ANY(book or movie or tv) character man, who would it be?
This question is torture!!!!! I would have to say Cavan from my book....hehe no one gets him but me (no my book is not published. just for fun...he is everything and more)
What is your favorite movie?
Tie! Phantom of the Opera (and its sequel Love Never Dies) and The Twilight Saga
What's the one book you can read over and over again?
an unimaginable amount
Fave movie quote?
Oh that's something to think about.
"A dream is a wish your heart makes when your'e fast asleep" (Cinderella for those of you who didn't know)

Mark of the Witch

Mark of the Witch by: Jessica Gibson
Magic flows through Jillian Proctor's veins as surely as blood, but so far her life outside Boston has been peaceful. William Morgan blows into Jilly's life like a hurricane, unleashing her magic and sending her out of control. Unknowingly, William brings an enemy who only wants to posses the power of the witch. Jilly must learn to harness her magic before she loses it - and everything in her life is destroyed.

“You may as well come out,” she called. “I know you’re in there.” Both girls scanned the trees for any trace of movement.

Finally, off to their left, a figure emerged from the thick brush. It was a man neither of them recognized. He was short and wiry, with bright red hair and freckles. Jilly thought he was almost too adorable to be afraid of. Almost being the operative word. He came to a stop about six feet in front of them and held up his hands in a gesture of peace.

“I don’t mean you any harm,” he said, reiterating the gesture. “I’m only here to set up a meeting between you and Sabine,” he said as he nodded his head in Jilly’s direction.

“And what if I don’t agree to this meeting? Will you mean us harm then?” she asked as she slowly rubbed her palms together. She felt the familiar reassuring tingle in her fingers.

“Sabine doesn’t want you hurt. She just wants to talk, but if I have to hurt you I will.” He walked a step or two closer. The look on his face was anything but friendly.

“I’d stay where you are if I were you,” Jilly said forcefully. “You really don’t know me.” She rubbed her palms faster. Her palms and fingers were glowing by now.

The man looked at her and shrugged before charging toward her. Jilly put up her hands and grabbed his arm; he went down fast. She kept a hold of his arm until she felt the warmth in her hands start to fade, and yelled for Caroline to make a run for it.
 My Review:

A whole whopping 5 Stars

I bought this book for my Kindle app on for my phone.

I have been sick for the last few days so I wanted to settle up with a book to read and I have been dying to read Mark of the Witch.

I absolutely loved this one!!!  This kept me enraptured from beginning to end! It has been the fastest I have read in a long time. (I have been sick and told everyone to leave me the heck alone ahahah.)

We follow Jilly Proctor who gets her witch powers at age 13.  Her twin sister, Caroline, wanted nothing to do with them.

Jilly and Caroline at a young age had to endure of a loss. In which causes the sisters to go their separate ways.

Heartache and cheating brings them back together.  Caroline ends up welcoming her powers.

A mysterious man, William, comes into Jilly's life.  He has been searching for her for years, and when I say years think like years that Edward has been searching for Bella.

Unfortuantly William has an ex chick that even though they have been over for hundreds of years, the broad can't leave the man alone.  Therefore, going after Jilly to try to get him back.

They have to prepare for battle against the ex chick, Sabine.

One ends up with a knife plunged into their chest, falling dead to the ground.  (of which I was NOT expecting!)

Kudos to Jessica!! I truly enjoyed your book and I can't wait for the next one!!!

Their choice had been taken away long before they were born.

Two Seattle 16-year-old Shape Shifters, Jatred and Jasmira, are torn between following their hearts and protecting the order of the world. The path of the star-crossed lovers leads only to destruction.

The ancient Shape Shifter Races—the Winter wolves and the Summer leopards— live among humans and fit perfectly into modern life, while keeping secret societies with their own laws and traditions.

Two Goddesses, Crystal and Amber command their respective Races. One is on a quest to tilt the scale of power to her side. The other will never let it happen, even if it means sacrificing Jatred and Jasmira’s love.

The Amulet commissioned to bring stability into the world remains hidden and concealed with the help of advanced technology. Jatred is the guardian of the Amulet and key to the Goddesses’ conflict.

When the forces of nature are disrupted, earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions rake the world. The Goddesses go to war and summon all their Shifters to join in the conflict. Jatred and Jasmira must fight not only for their love but to protect the future of both Races and humankind.

My Review:

I bought this ebook for 2.99 via Amazon.
I give this book 4.5 stars

Wow. Such a different shifter story! We follow lovers Jatred and Jasmira. Jatred is from the Winter race of shifters run bythe Goddess Crystal where as Jasmira is from the Summer race run bythe Goddess Amber. Two shifters from different races. Lovers. They aren't supposed to be. It is looked down upon by the Goddesses.
Think Romeo and Juliet in a way. Only here after Jatred is forbidden to be with Jasmira by Crystal and he doesn't listen. She removes his memory of Jasmira completely. (I couldn't imagine my husband not remembering me. I would be devastated.) I could feel the pain that Jasmira was going through of her love not knowing who she was but that he could remember everyone else.
The ten thousand year mark is upon them. The Goddesses are against each other to gain THE power from the amulet that the Royal of the Winter race has under their protection.
Did I mention that the royals from each race was Jatred and Jasmira? No? Yes,well it is true.
This story so wonderfully written allows you to follow their journey, destruction, power, losses, and pain. It is up to you to find out if they can ever be together again or if they are doomed to fail in the battle.

Out of the Dark by Quinn Loftis
Amazon Link:
Nook Link:
Darkness has descended on the Transylvanian Alps.
Four packs of the powerful Grey wolves – in a rare show of cooperation – had joined together here in an effort to help their pack members find true mates. Then they were betrayed by one of their own – an Alpha hell-bent on becoming the most powerful of the Canis lupis. And though the wolf's assassination attempt on the currently-reigning Romanian Alpha failed, his plans to get Decebel, the Romanian Beta, out of the picture were coming together even as his treachery was discovered. The wolf fled, leaving destruction, death, and a missing mate behind him.
Unbeknownst to the other packs, the wolf has employed a witch to finish the deadly job and help him gain another tool to increase his power. A curse of devastating proportions will cripple Decebel in a way that may dissolve his fragile bond with Jennifer. Meanwhile, injured and alone, Jen has been fighting for her life. She had come to terms with her fate, accepting that she would not share a life with Decebel, until help came in the most unexpected form...
Vasile will have to use all his resources – including Sally, the new gypsy healer of the Romanian pack – to discover a way in which to destroy the witch, lift the curse from Decebel and reunite him with the one woman who makes him whole, and solve a mystery that's been surrounding the Romanian pack for 300 years.
My Review:
I absolutely loved this one.  I loved them all but this one was a real tear jerker for me.  Poor Jen and having to deal with the possibility of her mate that she hasn't yet done the Blood Rites with, of forgetting her completely. Only at the time she isn't aware of what's going on.  Only between you and I, Mona's behind it.
LOL with Mona sometimes I have a bit of a Harry Potter moment and want to call her the Dark Witch or she-who-must-not-be-named. No one else? No?
I love how this one gets deeper into the past of Sally and what being a healer truly means to the pack. She must band together with another to help destroy the Dark Witch....hmmm see there I go again :)
I know my reviews aren't very long.  It's only because I have read these books countless times and everything I know and feel about them deserves to be experienced on your own. Not because I tell you what to expect.
Happy Readings Y'all!!!!
